Maria Corona Restaurant – Tequila Tasting by Cabo Wine Club
Tequila Tasting at Maria Corona Restaurant, organized by Cabo Wine Club. Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
One tequila. Two tequila. Three tequila. Floor. For most, their first encounter with tequila included licking salt off their hand, taking a shot, biting on a lime, and perhaps suffering the day after with a headache. Not anymore. Today there’s a whole new way of enjoying this native drink. When you discover that good tequila is neither fattening nor will it give you a hangover, you may wantto learn more about this indigenous drink of Mexico.
Tana Craighead of the Cabo Wine Club organized a tequila-tasting event at Maria Corona Restaurant in Cabo San Lucas January 14, 2010. The approximately 40 wine aficionados who attended in hopes of learning more about this intriguing beverage were offered samplings of Clase Azul Tequila in blanco and reposado; Los Abuelos Tequila in blanco, reposado and añejo; and finally pomegranate desert tequila, while enjoying traditional Mexican fare prepared by Maria Corona. Tequila experts from Tequilas Premium and Hacienda Tequila were on hand to explain the differences about the aging process.
