More than 100 gathered at the beautiful home of Onagh Ash in Puertos Los Cabos on Sunday, March 22 to experience Ximena Valero from Los Angeles and her creative ladies ensembles and also couture from home-town Pepita Nelson’s Magic of the Moon Boutique located in Cabo San Lucas. The two fashionistas directed 19 models to showcase their unique designs in the large outdoor living area where guests enjoyed canapés and wine. Valero is an award-winning designer best known for transformable fashion, meaning she creates a dress and then changes it on the spot into a top or skirt.  She has traveled the world and has received awards for her exciting evening wear. Pepita’s original designs are sewn by hand, one at a time, in some of the most beautiful fabrics in the world.  Pre-show entertainment included talented dancers from Carmen’s Dance Academy in La Paz performing belly dances in colorful costumes. Proceeds from the event went to the Sarahuaro Foundation whose mission is to create opportunities through workshops where women, mothers and children identify their skills and actively integrate them into society.
