Imomo Sushi House Cabo San Lucas
Watch boats gently rock back and forth in the marina as you enjoy sushi and sake, or any of your favorite beverages from the full bar. The trio of tostadas with shrimp, salmon, and octopus has a delicious complexity of flavor. Fresh veggies adorn the wonton soup, enhanced by a touch of ginger. A fun list of rolls includes the Yamy with crab, the Big Hector with salmon, and one breaded and fried with cream cheese and crab ($10–$15 U.S.). Try the crunchy shrimp on skewers in a beer paste for $7.50 U.S. or the spicy noodle bowl with a variety of ingredients, averaging $10 U.S. Save room for coffee Jell-O with ice cream topped with Kahlúa and Baileys or tempura (fried) ice cream. The restaurant is open and airy, and you can choose between the attractive crisp red and white art deco interior (air-conditioned during summer) or alfresco.

Year-round Farmer’s Market in Cabo San Lucas
Monica Diaz Rivera is pleased to announce that the Cabo Farmer’s Market at Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas will continue throughout the summer and year round as long as there are those interested in organic fruits and vegetables. Contrary to some reports, this added value to the community with seasonally grown food produced within a drivable distance at fair and reasonable prices will not cease operation as some other markets in the area have announced.
Individual vendors, mostly farmers who set up booths selling produce picked at the peak of flavor preserving the nutritional content, fruits, herbs, handmade cheeses, eggs and poultry from free-range fowl, as well as heirloom produce, are available every Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Other vendors include artisans with unique jewelry, tamales, perogies, fresh flowers and more.
The market helps farmers stay in business throughout the summer as well as to preserve the natural resources and maintain important social ties, linking neighbors in a mutually rewarding exchange. Stop by and enjoy a moment of time-honored tradition while selecting next week’s table fare. The Pedregal Market is a happening place at Mar Adentro Spa located at the base of the rear entrance to Pedregal across from the Camino del Colegio off the road to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo San Lucas.

Wide Open Excursions Expands Operations
Wide Open Excursions Expands Operations, Opens New Facility In Cabo San Lucas
Irvine, Calif (March 8, 2011)—Wide Open Excursions, the adrenaline-filled off-road driving adventure provider, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its operations in Cabo San Lucas Mexico and has opened a new facility there.
Partners R. Brent Fenimore, Robert J. Smith, and Fred M. Blum, who recently acquired the company, have expanded southern operations into two additional buildings totaling 506 square meters (5546 square feet). The first contains offices, a conference area, retail apparel sales area, client reception area with video presentation, and a full service bar for refreshments.
Behind the offices is a courtyard with a ‘palapa’ (shade covering with natural bamboo roof) and built-in seating, video presentation area, outdoor kitchen with barbeque and fireplace, a client locker room with showers, and restrooms.
The attached new building contains the mechanical shop to maintain the Baja Challenge tour cars and contains a vehicle showroom for orientation, a locker room with showers, MIG and heli-arc welding stations, mechanical repair stations, and a wash bay for final preparation of the cars prior to departing on the off-road excursions.
Both buildings have been totally remodeled. The office building was a mere shell in December 2009 and has been completely rebuilt and refurbished. The courtyard, bar, kitchen, and appointments were completed in time for the grand opening, which occurred last week. The mechanical shop was developed from the ground up beginning in August 2010 and will be completed by March 15.
“We are excited about our new Wide Open offerings and expansion in the Cabo San Lucas market. It has been refreshing to work with the local business owners and resort hotels to incorporate their products and services into our expanded offerings” said Brent Fenimore, Partner and Managing Director for Wide Open Excursions. “This is an exciting time for the business community in Cabo San Lucas as the tourist industry shows strong signs of recovery and growth for Cabo San Lucas as a vacation destination.”
Wide Open Excursions also maintains its operations in Ensenada, Mexico and is expanding its operations in the U.S. to include cooperative agreements with independent off-road adventure companies in several states.
About Wide Open Excursions
Since 1997, WIDE OPEN Excursions has provided more than 16,000 guests and corporate clients with the world’s most unique and adrenaline-filled adventure opportunity. Their vision: To share the joy of high-performance off-road driving and the unspoiled beauty of the Baja peninsula and Nevada’s Great Basin, which were previously accessible only for the adventurous lucky few. In 2011, Wide Open Excursions will expand into three new territories throughout the United States.
Much more than a driving school or follow the leader tour, the WIDE OPEN experience pushes the envelope of an adventure-based vacation. Their Baja Challenge (BC) cars are specifically designed to provide guests with the safety and performance of a desert racer, yet are easy enough for anyone to drive.
Wide Open Racing, the competition division of Wide Open Excursions, provides “arrive and drive” race seats in the same off-road race cars for amateurs and professionals looking to compete in off-road races. The Team Wide Open corporate car finished third in the Class 1 category at the Score Tecate Baja 1000 last month—a remarkable feat considering it was the only four-cylinder powered car in the class. They also finished fourth in Class 1 last June in the famous Baja 500.
